Book Club
Our book club meets on the last Wednesday of every month and brings together a friendly mix of long-standing members and newer faces.
This month
We gather in the shop at 6.30pm. Some people come every month, while others join us whenever they can. New members are always welcome, however often you’re able to make it.
Each month, Hayley puts together a shortlist of three recommendations for the group to choose from. Where possible, the choices take inspiration from the season or significant dates in the calendar, giving us plenty of variety throughout the year.
We also hold occasional author events especially for the book club. Previous guests have included the writing duo Lila Cain, who joined us to talk about The Blackbirds of St Giles, and Emma Stonex, who discussed The Lamplighters and The Sunshine Man.
